VICTORIAN PILLAR BOX MAKES A SPECTACLE!
Optical specialists Continental Eyeware recently contacted us for the loan of a Pillar Box but were in agreeance, 340 kg's of solid cast iron is heavy and not the easiest of items to move! Our unique Victorian replication became the obvious choice... Weighing in at under 30 kg's meant the logistics of siting the Pillar Box at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) was straight forward leaving Continental Eyeware to run their competition. The Pillar Box took centre stage for posting entries!

Our unique VR Pillar Box has been produced from the mould of an original example, thus is an exact emulation. Casting detail such as the quaint VR royal ciper, Post Office raised lettering & foundry name have been recaptured in precise detail.

Perfect for TV period drama ... more

BESPOKE POST BOX... SEEING DOUBLE?
We' ve just produced a 'Siamese' George VI lamp box for a customer in Australia. The lamp box has a fixed front door and opening rear door. The idea behind this is to incorporate the box within a new build wall. The Postman delivers his mail in the usual fashion, the customer can retreive the mail from within his home. In this case the GRVI is to be built into a courtyard wall. Aesthetic beauty both sides!

The 'Siamese' GRVI is now available in any colour & can be produced to customers specifications. It is possible to lengthen or shorten the internal capacity to suit wall depths.

GOING FOR GOLD...
As from the 1st October 2008, all restored K6 Kiosks will sport guilded crowns unless specified.

Guilded crowns on kiosks have become popular on restored kiosks over the years, thus due to popularity & demand I've decided to waiver the costs.

SCOTTISH CROWNED K6 KIOSK FOR SALE...
We currently have available this highly prized original unrestored Scottish Crowned K6 Kiosk. This example currently resides in Lanarkshire & dates from around 1955.

It was brought to the attention of the General Post Office that Queen Elizabeth II was not the second Queen of Scotland, thus modifications to the K6 were required. In 1955, two years after the coronation of the Queen, interchangeable crowns were produced, thus kiosks destined for 'North of the border' could sport this particular crown.

UPDATE 21 September 2008: THIS KIOSK IS NOW SOLD!

FOOD ORDERS FROM A KIOSK?
We recently supplied the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, New York a fully restored 'Jubilee' K6 kiosk with working 1930's interior.
The idea behind this is for patrons of Atunyote's World famous Golf Club to be able to order meals from the ninth tee. The kiosk, equipped with a functional 200 series telephone can dial through to the clubhouse. Patrons can then choose food from a unique menu displayed within the kiosk...
