WHY CHOOSE REMEMBER WHEN UK?
If your in the market for a restored K6 Red Telephone Box. . . . BE CAUTIOUS!

Several firms have spung up on eBay & other internet websites over the last few months, offering so called 'restored' kiosks at discount prices. The majority of these companies offer 'conyeyor belt' kiosks with an abundance of defects... broken, missing or incorrect componants, worn out doors & poor workmanship dressed in red garnish!
Remember When UK offers a one to one personal restoration service & pride ourselves on the standard of workmanship topped off with good old fashioned traditional values & beliefs.

IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE WOODS TODAY...
Sometimes every so often, a challenge comes up!

Colin explained he has an ideal spot for a fully restored Kiosk in his garden but it might be a bit tricky getting it into position. Naturally I was curious, & decided on a site survey. A garden? Well, one & a half acres of beautiful mature woodland to get the kiosk through.... Not a problem!

GPO SILENCE CABINET... How strange!
I've just become the proud owner of an original GPO 'Silence Cabinet'!

This fine original example, dated & embossed S-23 GPO (1923 Seimens) originally came from Le Strange Arms Hotel in Hunstanton, Norfolk. Silence Cabinets are wooden kiosks with 'double glazed' crown glass windows & were only installed in 'better' establishments at a time when only the upper class could speak to 'ones companion'! Jolly good show!
I'm intending to restore this cabinet in the Spring. Watch this space...

SAVE YOUR PHONE BOX!
We are delighted to be working in conjunction with councils wanting to 'adopt' their local Red Telephone Boxes. This is a recent story of how a small group of people worked harmoniously to revitalise their K6 kiosk. We were privaliged to supply the correct paint & spare componants for the project...

Hi Carl,
we had a great time renovating our village phone box. There are only 22 houses in our hamlet and lots of people turned out to help either with the preparation (which was quite hard going) or the top coat. Some provided snacks to keep us going and when it was finished several bottles of bubbly were opened. We reckoned that more care and attention was lavished on the phonebox than on our respective DIY jobs at home. We were so pleased that the... more

VICTORIAN PILLAR BOX MAKES A SPECTACLE!
Optical specialists Continental Eyeware recently contacted us for the loan of a Pillar Box but were in agreeance, 340 kg's of solid cast iron is heavy and not the easiest of items to move! Our unique Victorian replication became the obvious choice... Weighing in at under 30 kg's meant the logistics of siting the Pillar Box at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) was straight forward leaving Continental Eyeware to run their competition. The Pillar Box took centre stage for posting entries!

Our unique VR Pillar Box has been produced from the mould of an original example, thus is an exact emulation. Casting detail such as the quaint VR royal ciper, Post Office raised lettering & foundry name have been recaptured in precise detail.

Perfect for TV period drama ... more
